Year 3 SHOWCASE

Our students find passion and meaning in different causes and topics through their final-year projects.

Based on the ideas proposed under Project Development, our Year-3s bring innovation to life through the skillsets they have picked up in CMC. 

They write; they design; they plan; they film; they shoot; they edit; they host; they DO! With their can-do spirit, even COVID-19 cannot stop them!

三年级学生通过对各种社会现象与问题的探索,找到热切关心的议题,加以发展成为毕业项目。这些项目的想法在项目发展这一科目中播种发芽,再经由学生们以三年所学得的知识与技术悉心灌溉成挺拔的小树。

本系学生能写作、设计、策划、摄影、制作、编辑、主持,总的来说就是能干!他们带着契而不舍的精神作战,就连新冠疫情也阻挡不了他们的决心!

BEYOND LIGHT 倾听我们的视界

How much do you know about the world of the visually impaired and the deaf? “Deaf” and “Hearing Impaired” - which is more appropriate? How troublesome it is for the Visually Impaired when the traffic light audio system only operates from 7am to 9pm? 

Through the podcast collaboration with Mediacorp’s CAPITAL 958FM, Beyond Light brings you into the world of the visually impaired with a tinge of humour, revealing their problems that were rarely discussed. Our podcast consists of two series, with a total of 8 episodes. 

Our social media team also shares information such as basic braille and hand sign, creating bite-size content that appeals to the youth. 

你了解视听障碍者的世界吗?聋人和听障人士,哪一个说法更恰当?交通灯的音效系统只在早上7点至晚上9点运作,这又为视障人士带来了什么样的困扰?

视听障碍的话题不再沉重。本小组与新传媒958电台携手合作推出广播剧,带你走进视听障碍的世界,揭晓你从不知道的事!本次计划分成两个系列,共推出8集的播客。大家可在meLISTEN应用程序上收听。

小组也采用了Instagram和 脸书两个不同的社交媒体平台,教导基本手语、盲文,以及分享视听障碍人士所面临的一些困难以及如何帮助他们的方法,大家不妨到我们的社交媒体平台查看点赞吧!

BREEZLEARNER 繁华语宙

Do you have a fear towards learning Chinese because you just cannot seem to master it? Breezlearner wants to change that mindset of yours! 

In collaboration with the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), Breezlearner launched a Chinese learning package to aid secondary one students in learning Chinese outside of their curriculum through a fun and interactive way.

This package has been piloted at 8 secondary schools, and will be officially launched in the schools in 2021.

《繁华语宙》联合推广华文学习委员会(CPCLL)推出一套华文学习辅助资源,从中激发中学一年级学生们的兴趣并鼓励他们自主地在课堂外学习华文。这套华文学习辅助资源包括幽默动漫视频、悬疑侦探型游戏、及有趣的贴纸和动态图!

《繁华语宙》已在八所中学进行试点测试,并预计在2021年推出。

KEEP LOVE 寄•情

Keep Love’s core value is to care for the elderly in society as our own, treating them with the respect we would accord our own grandparents.

Through various characters and two TikTok series, we try to break the stereotypes people have about the elderly using comedic scenes. We yearn to surmount the generation hurdle, driving more youths to forge close relationships with the elderly.

We also hosted two Facebook ‘live’ sessions, bringing the characters in our videos ‘live’ to interact with the audience. Our TikTok challenge where families came together to create memories while forging closer ties.

寄情是个以「老吾老以及人之老」为核心价值观的项目,主要目的是希望能够打造一个具包容性的社会,提倡尊敬与关爱长辈,包括与自己没有血缘关系的年长者。

 

怀着热忱,我们创造了刘阿莲、刘铁柱和刘翠花等角色,并推出了两个阿嬷莲系列,共计16个抖音短视频。通过本土化的角色与搞笑的情节,我们希望能刷新年轻人对年长者抱有的的刻板印象,跨越岁月的鸿沟,带动更多年轻人主动与年长者建立关系。

 

此外,我们还举办了两场脸书直播。期间,我们分别请来了阿嬷莲以及孙女翠花与受众进行深入的交流。最后,我们还发起了抖音挑战赛,为大家提供创造回忆及拉近关系的机会。

LOVE, LEMAK   椰浆之情

We want to create a society where the youth are more understanding and empathetic towards people with different struggles through the use of one of Singapore’s heritage dishes, Nasi Lemak.

Through a series of podcasts that revolve around a nasi lemak stall, we aim to highlight some of the different struggles that youngers tend to face. Our target beneficiary for this project will be youth aged 15 to 35, who are the future pillars of Singapore. 

Touching on topics like friendship, relationship, acceptance, care, kinship, forgiveness, we want to encourage everyone to form one closely-knit community - Singapore.

通过新加坡传统美食椰浆饭,我们希望通过播客系列及社交媒体平台鼓励青年人协力创建一个更有人情味的社会。

以椰浆饭为故事核心的播客系列共有7集,主要讲述的是人们在日常生活中所面临的一些问题,并且通过不同的椰浆饭料理带出人生道理。

 

通过不同的课题,包括友情、爱情、接受自己、学会爱自己、亲情以及学会原谅,我们希望让这些青年人意识到这些社会的问题,并且与我们携手克服这些困难,让社会变得更美好。

LOVE ORIGIN 情源

Love Origins is a project that utilises new media to raise awareness of the Peranakan culture amongst the younger generations in Singapore. 

 

With the aim to preserve Peranakan culture and as a documentation and reference for the community, the virtual tour introduces users to various iconic landmarks in Joo Chiat, one of the local communities which has rich Peranakan culture. Users learn about the Peranakan culture through interactive forms, such as discovering hidden artefacts in the identified landmarks and podcasts on Peranakan stories. This is our Peranakan Story, what about yours? 

《情源》希望通过新媒体让更多年轻人认识土生华人文化。

为了能让更多人认识到这个文化,《情源》将通过虚拟导览的方式来介绍如切一些具有代表性的地标。如切是个充满浓郁土生华人气息的社区。在虚拟导览中,用户能够以互动性的方式探索如切,沉浸在这浓浓的土生华人风味中。他们可寻找并点击藏在不同角落的土生华人文物及发掘土生华人们的故事。

OUR COMMON DREAM 同心愿

“You’re so OCD!” Many of us have heard of this phrase or are even guilty of saying this to describe a friend who washes their hand frequently or rearranges their things constantly. But what exactly is OCD?

 

Our Common Dream is a social media campaign to raise awareness of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder OCD (OCD) and to spread the importance of self-care. Through our Instagram page, we want to promote better understanding of OCD and debunk misconceptions about this anxiety disorder. We also hope to encourage people to take good care of themselves.

 

Our social media content includes engaging videos about OCD and self-care, educational posts, as well as podcasts that tell the stories of OCD sufferers and people around them.

当你听到「强迫症」这三个字时,你会联想到什么?是不停地洗手?整理?还是打扫?

 

《同心愿》是一项围绕着强迫症而展开的社交媒体宣导活动。通过我们的Instagram页面,团队想要带大家更深入地了解强迫症这一焦虑障碍,揭开它的面纱,也希望在此过程中鼓励大家更加珍爱和接受不完美的自己。

 

我们上传到社交媒体的内容包括与强迫症有关的有趣视频、教育性贴文、以及讲述真实故事的播客。每一期的播客都有一位强迫症患者或他们的亲友,与大家分享他们对抗强迫症的故事。

SGOK QUEST 益情·亦情

SGOK Quest is a social media campaign that provides Singaporeans with fun and informational content to help everyone better enjoy staying home! We are honored to be funded by The Majurity Trust - Singapore Strong Fund to meet and serve social and community needs through our campaign.

The team adopts a game-themed concept and emphasises the elements of fun and entertainment while engaging our social media followers in a series of tips and tricks for Singaporeans to maximize the quality of individual and family time spent. Together with the support of many, we have crossed an important milestone in giving away 100 boxes of self-care kits to encourage Singaporeans in showing appreciation for our loved ones in such a tough season.

《益情·亦情》是个在新冠疫情中诞生的项目。疫情期间,大家免不了长时间呆在家,很多人可能会不知所措。这正是我们这个项目存在的意义。以社交媒体为平台,我们要让大家享受及度过有意义的居家生活。

我们采用了一个游戏的概念,与社交媒体上的用户进行有趣的互动。通过这项目,我们希望大家知道,在疫情席卷全球的艰难时刻,大家身边其实还有很多关心自己的人。社交媒体不仅仅是能够用来获取资讯,还能够在大家不能见面的时候,散播爱与正能量。

TAMASHI ADVENTURE 魂之奇遇

Tamashī Adventure is an interactive animation production. Audience gets to make decisions for our main characters as they try to solve myriads of problems.

The story of Tamashī Adventure takes place in the spiritual realm and the modern Mirai World. The male lead Gu Zhi Cheng, who wants to cure his grandfather’s illness, promises pixie Wang Iu to help her in the missions given by Zhong Kui, the demon hunter. 

Tamashī Adventure is inspired by Chinese folklore as well as Japanese animation. Join us on this exciting journey through our animated shorts! 

《魂之奇遇》是一个互动性动漫制作。它可以让观众在不同的集数中选择主角们帮助鬼魂解决各种奇难杂症的办法,让故事有不同情节的发展。

故事穿梭于鬼魂以及现代化的Mirai 世界。男主角顾梓诚为了要帮爷爷治病,答应了女主角芦荟精灵艾悠,帮助她完成钟馗交代的任务。

《魂之奇遇》总共三集。第一集探讨学校霸凌问题,第二集探讨流浪动物的课题。而最后一集则是关于爱的故事,还牵扯到灵界的贪污问题,敬请大家期待。
